  • 17. Terms • Urban: town or city, high density of human-made structures • Micropolitan: urban area with population of 10,000-49,000 (U.S.) • Metropolitan: densely populated urban core & its surrounding areas sharing industry, infrastructure & housing • Exurban: prosperous communities beyond the suburbs that are commuter towns for an urban area
