  • 11. Ran Fans Debra Eckerling offers Musicians five social media tips. First: Find your Audience Artist and Musicians need there fans or audience to be Passionate about their music. Miranda Lambert may not have the largest fan follow of all musicians but her fans are passionate about her music. By cutting tracks about real life experiences, Miranda attracts fans that connect with those songs. Miranda also is a humanitarian and lover of animals. She connects with people that feel the same way she does but also connects with those who she helps. Her foundation MuttNation, raised money for Monroe, Oklahoma, to help in the rebuild after the devastating tornados that tore through that community.
  • 12. Online Presence Second: Post meaningful, sharable content Miranda is very instrumental on the foundations that she supports. She posts pictures and commentary on animals through her foundation MuttNation, that are up for adoption. She shares photos of events she attends or upcoming events through MuttNation. Miranda shares her thanks with her fans for their support with both her solo career and Pistol Annies. Recently Miranda shared a photo of her ‘55 truck that she learned to drive in, which gives her fans insight into her life.
  • 13. Engaging Her Fans Third: Engage your current fans Miranda loves her fans and tries to interact with them as much as possible. She has both a Facebook account and a Twitter account and interacts with fans through them. On Twitter she posts pictures of fans and adoptable pets at events she has attended. She re-tweets fan posts and comments on them. She also posts events that she is attending or hosting for her fans to also attend. Something she is not doing, is Miranda is not live chatting with her fans. I know it can be difficult to find time in her busy schedule but as a fan I know that would be awesome to be able to interact with Miranda live.
  • 14. Online vs. Physical Presence Fourth: Continue the social push IRL. Hand out swag. Put up flyers. Miranda has a boutique called Pink Pistol. She is there sometimes socializing with fans. Miranda also attends most of MuttNation and affiliates fundraising events. She advertises events on her online pages, that she will be attending on her own, with Blake or with Pistol Annies. I think this effective, however if you are not in the area that the event is in you can not see her or support her.
  • 15. Consistent Presence Fifth: Post Consistently Miranda posts often. I would say she is consistent in her posts. She posts a lot for a little time and then stops. I get that she is a busy lady but her fans want to know what is going on in her life everyday. I think that if she posted something once or twice a week consistently, her fans would feel closer to her. When Miranda posts things online for her fans, she uses her twitter account and retweets her fans and friends. She also posts things on her Facebook for her self, Pistol Annies and MuttNation.
